　　學(xué)校概況

　　在2003年歐洲委員會的報(bào)告中，埃因霍溫理工大學(xué)在歐洲的研究類大學(xué)中排名第三（前兩名分別是劍橋大學(xué)和牛津大學(xué)，同排名的是慕尼黑工業(yè)大學(xué)）。2005年《泰晤士報(bào)》（Times）高等教育增刊的大學(xué)排行榜上，埃因霍芬理工大學(xué)名列世界第74位，2006年上升至第67位，是一所名副其實(shí)的頂尖大學(xué)。

　　埃因霍芬理工大學(xué)（TU/e）創(chuàng)建于1956年，當(dāng)時(shí)是一所理工�？茖W(xué)校，如今已經(jīng)發(fā)展成為一所擁有8個院系的中等規(guī)模理工大學(xué)。設(shè)有11個本科專業(yè)、22個碩士專業(yè)以及11個2年制的碩士后專業(yè)。除此之外，該校的斯坦埃克曼學(xué)院還設(shè)有10個研究生技術(shù)設(shè)計(jì)專業(yè)，該校研究生院設(shè)有各種研究生課程。

　　到2013年，TU/e大約有教職工3,055人、本科生4,973人（其中4%為國際生）、碩士研究生3,238人（其中16%為國際生）、博士生1,210人、畢業(yè)工程師20,000人、技術(shù)設(shè) 計(jì)碩士1,000人，并授予了2,000個博士學(xué)位。該校有社交、體育、文化及學(xué)習(xí)等約100個學(xué)生團(tuán)體以及15個校友聯(lián)合會。 TU/e的教學(xué)以本校研究活動為基礎(chǔ)，側(cè)重設(shè)計(jì)。講師及學(xué)生采用現(xiàn)代信息及交流手段。該校的課程也面向國際，鼓勵學(xué)生在國外或者與外國公司合作完成部分學(xué) 業(yè)。

　　在2007 年2月7 日, 荷蘭三大理工大學(xué)（埃茵霍溫理工大學(xué)，代爾伏特理工大學(xué)和特文特大學(xué)）正式建立了3TU. 儀式由教育部、文化和科學(xué)部部長主持 ; 經(jīng)濟(jì)事務(wù)部二秘Chris Buijink以及荷蘭產(chǎn)業(yè)和雇主的聯(lián)邦的主席Bernard Wientjes出席。在這個聯(lián)盟, 三所理工大學(xué)將結(jié)合他們的能力和設(shè)施為了進(jìn)一步提升他們在歐洲和國際地位努力。每所大學(xué)在全國和國際上都享有盛譽(yù)。結(jié)為聯(lián)盟之后, 他們將躋身世界頂尖的高等院校。

　　The Institute of Biomedical Engineering Sciences & Technology/Eindhoven is the Eindhoven chapter of the BEST institute. BEST is dedicate to offering research and educational programs in the field of biomedical engineering.

　　The Center for Wireless Technology Eindhoven is a research institute which combines the research of five different research groups of the department of Electrical Engineering. 　　The Eindhoven Center for Innovation Studies is a research institute dedicated to the understanding of innovation processes. 　　The Intelligent Lighting Institute is a research institute started at the TU/e in 2010. It combines the research capacities of six different university departments in order to research and produce lighting-related products. The institute studies lighting technology, but also the interaction between lighting and the environment and the psychological impact of lighting.
